Emiliana Torrini - If You Go Away
If you go away on this summer's day,
Then you might as well take the sun away
All the birds that flew in the summer sky
When our love was new and our hearts were high
And the day was young and the nights were long
And the moon stood still for the night bird's song
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away.
But if you stay, I'll make you a day
Like no day has been, or will be again
We'll sail on the sun, we'll ride on the rain
And talk to the trees and worship the wind
But if you go, I'll understand
Leave me just enough love to fill up my hand
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away.
If you go away, as I know you will
You must tell the world to stop turning
Till you return again, if you ever do,
For what good is love without loving you?
Can I tell you now, as you turn to go
I'll be dying slowly till the next hello
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away.
But if you stay, I'll make you a night
Like no night has been, or will be again
I'll sail on your smile, I'll ride on your touch
I'll talk to your eyes that I love so much
But if you go, I won't cry
Though the good is gone from the word goodbye
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away.
If you go away, as I know you must
There is nothing left in this world to trust
Just an empty room, full of empty space
Like the empty look I see on your face
I'd have been the shadow of your shadow
If you might have kept me by your side
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away.

Geez I sure miss certain friends at times. That one friend that knows so much abt you and that you just connect with so well and on so many levels; that one friend that you share certain things with; that one friend that you always have fun with, you laugh, you walk, you talk...and talk without having to say anything; that one friend that you always want to be with; that one friend that just makes you complete; that one friend that is so wrong for you, but so right for you (ugh the cliche but it's the truth)...that one friend that you can't stop missing. Geez, I miss you wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

No matter if you love her or hate her, Lady Gaga has real talent. I got chills listening to this performance and almost tears. Now, she DOES look like a clown here, but I won't deny how incredibly good this is..

Saddened to learn that Borders is closing its 400 remaining stores. I like my kindle, but I do still love my books and hanging out in bookstores. This is the 2nd largest U.S. bookstore chain to call it quits. Sad.

An old man once said, "There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

In every girls life there will always be those three guys: the one she loves, the one she hates, and the one she cant get enough of. In the end,they're all the same guy
Falling in love isn't always going to be easy..... tears, laughter, anger, pain.... its when you want to be together despite it all.. that's when you truly love someone..... love conquers all.

Remember, people only rain on your parade because they’re jealous of your sun and tired of their shade.
Faith is about believing in something and knowing in your heart that it is true, even when your mind can't find the answers.

Yann Tiersen - Soundtrack from Amelia
by Alexander Pushkin
I loved you: and, it may be, from my soul
The former love has never gone away,
But let it not recall to you my dole;
I wish not sadden you in any way.
I loved you silently, without hope, fully,
In diffidence, in jealousy, in pain;
I loved you so tenderly and truly,
As let you else be loved by any man (woman).

Trees are like people

trees are like people
trees are like people
they come in many shades of black and white
and yellow and brown
trees are like people
some are round and short, others tall and thin
but all wear colorful adornments that change with the seasons
trees are like people
some like the sun, while some like the shade
some bear fruit, while others were not meant to
trees are like people
they have limbs and knees, and scars and crowns and lobes and teeth
trees are like people
seedlings, fragile, young and needy
that, nourished, grow strong and secure in their roots
trees are like people
some stand alone atop a hill
with prickly needles on branches bent and beaten by the ages
while some flourish in groves, happy to be surrounded by their own kind
trees are like people
they all grow from the warmth of the sun
and drink of the rain
and stretch to reach the heavens

When a WOMAN is quiet,
Millions of things are running in her mind
When a WOMAN is not arguing,
She is thinking deeply
When a WOMAN looks at u with eyes full of
questions,
She is wondering how long you will be
around
When a WOMAN answers "i'm fine" after a
few seconds,
She is not at all fine
When a WOMAN stares at you,
She is wondering why you are lying
When a WOMAN lays on your chest,
She is wishing for you to be hers forever
When a WOMAN calls you everyday,
She is seeking for your attention
When a WOMAN sms's u everyday,
She wants you to reply at least once
When a WOMAN says I love you,
She means it
When a WOMAN says that she can't live
without you,
She has made up her mind that you are
her future
When a WOMAN says "i miss you",
No one in this world can miss you more
than that.

There is a difference between having a woman's attention and having her heart. It's easy for her to walk away if you only have her attention, but its hard to get her leave if you have her heart!♥
The saddest love is to love someone, to know that they still want you, but the circumstances don’t let you have them.
Love is like pi - natural, irrational, and very important. ~ Lisa Hoffman

“Love is a temporary madness; it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being in love. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.” ~Louis de Bernieres

As We Grow Up
"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back."
Nothing you love is lost.
Not really.
things,
people -
they always go away, sooner or later.
You can't hold them,
any more than you can hold moonlight.
But if they've touched you,
if they're inside you,
then they're still yours::
Thank you my angel friend for saying what I needed to hear at that moment in time. <3

From Princess Diana to Prince William
♥♥♥
Only do what your heart tells you.
What must it be like for a little boy
to read that daddy never loved mummy?
Everyone of us needs to show
how much we care for each other
and, in the process,
care for ourselves.
To young Prince William;
"when it comes to love ,
when you found love ,
you are lucky.
And if you are lucky enough
to have someone love you back ,
you must not let her go.
~ Princess Diana ~
Interesting royal tidbits..

Thought this was sort of interesting: The second duke of Cambridge, Prince Adolphus Frederick, was the seventh son of King George III. Defying the Royal Marriage Act, he married his mistress, Sarah Louisa Fairbrother, an actress and a commoner, in 1847. Since the marriage wasn't legal, his children were all illegitimate.
And also: Kate Middleton (Now the Duchess of Cambridge and also referred by her name of Catherine) is the first "commoner" to marry a prince in close proximity to the throne in more than 350 years.

The Royal Wedding

It happened today, April 29, 2011, Prince William & Kate Middleton wed. They are now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! What's all the hoopla about some people ask!? (Ignorant people, in my opinion). Listen, there is nothing comparable in American society. Celebrities are a dime a dozen. There's only one British royal family and the protocol and traditions that stretch back for centuries are fascinating. If the American Revolution had tipped just a little bit the other way, these people could have been my heads of state.
It's the same reason I like to travel to new places, I guess ~ there's so much weird and interesting culture to observe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
People getting all uptight about the Royal Wedding. This is what I had to say to someone's facebook post: Just enjoy it, it's not like it happens everyday...or every year...or every decade. It's history come alive. And as far as I'm concerned, it's a nice change from the terrible & depressing stuff we are bombarded with every single day. It's joyous and happy and uplifting. Does everyone just like to hear all the doom & gloom?! This is so very different than the everyday. So what if it's like a fairytale come to life. God wants us to enjoy life on earth, and this is a joyous celebration that we get to be a part of, by seeing it on television and such. Don't worry, you'll probably never witness anything like this again in your lifetimes, and this will soon pass and we can all just delight in the stuff we're used to. I'm so happy for both William & Kate; I wish them nothing but a happy and long life together. So, there's my short version take of it all :)
It is the things in common that make relationships enjoyable, but it is the little differences that make them interesting. The more connections you and your lover make, not just between your bodies, but between your minds, your hearts, and your souls, the more you will strengthen the fabric of your relationship, and the more real moments you will experience together♥
~I Walked~
Lover, will you look at me now?
I'm already dead to you
but I'm inclined to explain
to you what I could not before
Whatever you didn't do, what you couldn't say
I am sorry that the worst has arrived
For I deserve more.
for at least I deserve the respect of a kiss goodbye
Tell me, do you think of me now
as I think of you?
For I could not have shaken the touch of your breath on my arm
For it has stayed in me as an epithet
I am sorry the worst has arrived
For I'm on the floor
In the room where we made it our last touch of the night
I walked, cause you walked
but I won't probably get very far
sensation to what you said
but I'm not about to expect something more
I would not have run off
but I couldn't bear that it's me
It's my fault
I should not be so lost
but I've got nothing left to love
Lover, will you look from me now
I'm already dead
but I've come to explain
why I left such a mess on the floor
For when you went away
I went crazy. I was wild with the breast of a dog
I ran through the night
with the knife in my chest
with the lust of your loveless life
I walked, cause you walked
but I won't probably get very far
sensation to what you said
but I'm not about to expect something more
I would not have run off
But I couldn't bear that it's me
It's my fault
I should not be so lost
But I've got nothing left to love
I walked, cause you walked
I have been reading and finding comfort in the Psalms lately. My heart has been burdened and I've had some wicked dreams about being chased. I understand from where these dreams stem, just stuff happening in my life. When someone you thought cared for you, when someone was who you thought to be a cherished friend betrays you, it is a feeling of extreme pain and difficult to describe. This morning the Lord has led me to some passages for comfort. The Psalms I've been focusing on this morning are 55 & 56. They are not the buttery, sugary feel good Psalms, but show intense pain from David. His companion, confidant and close friend had betrayed him. It is a feeling I too have felt, so I relate to this in my own personal way. I have committed myself to the Lord and to do the right thing, no matter what, but my so-called friend had different designs on what I should do and those things were not in my best interest, but solely in the interest of fulfilling a selfish desire. Discussion after discussion was not able to break down that wall. I feel like I have wasted my time on someone that really did not give a rat's hoot for my well being. It hurts. I am thankful that I can find peace in the Lord and His promises. People will always let you down, my Savior will not. I am sorry for things I have done in my past that was less than what the Lord would have of me. I am sorry for confiding in the wrong people and trusting too easily. These are things I need to work on and areas I am praying to the Lord for strength. I need to daily put on my armor, daily wear the breastplate of righteousness and daily drink from the fountain of Life and quench my thirst in Him, not in people.
What are friends?
Friends are people that you think are your friends
But they're really your enemies, with secret indentities
and disguises, to hide they're true colors
So just when you think you're close enough to be brothers
they wanna come back and cut your throat when you ain't lookin
-"If I Had" - Eminem
FRIENDS NO LONGER
"Sorry I forgot to tell you
That as my friend you must be true.
As that I went to say,
No more were we at play.
I meant to tell you the future looked bright,
But all of a sudden we got in a fight.
I went to tell you we should be friends,
That I will be here untill the end.
But you would not listen to me,
So friends no longer shall we be."
Long ago and oh so far away, I fell in love with you, before the second show. Your guitar, it sounds so sweet and clear, but you're not really there, it's just the radio. Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby...you said you'd be coming back this way again baby....baby baby baby baby oh baby, I love you, I really do.... Loneliness is such a sad affair and I can hardly wait to be with you again...what to
say, to make you come again, come back to me again, and play your sad guitar. Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby...you said you'd be coming back this way again baby...baby baby baby baby oh baby, I love you, I really do.
Dearest dealer,
I with my royal straight flush,
love you so for your wild card,
that untamable, eternal, gut-driven ha-ha
and lucky love.
It's like this...My head knows what to do, oh it definitely knows. But my heart keeps getting in the way w/ its voice of unreason; it keeps stopping my head dead in its tracks. If I could keep the heart out of it, stop the singing, all would be good and settled. ~Me !
Busted...for speeding!
Sunday morning. Was tired when alarm went off, but excited about going to church and soaking in God's word. Hearing something that I was certain I'd need to hear (and that WAS the case). Everyone else in the house was tired too. Poor planning, these late night Saturday's. But we never learn, haha. So anyway, everyone up and frantically trying to get ready. Sitting in the driveway, all of us having skipped breakfast, me and Dave going on caffeine fumes, we decide to leave Colby behind since he is holding us up and we are already late. Good learning lesson this will be for him, we say, so we shut the garage and pull out of the driveway, me feeling guilty, but knowing this is the right thing to do this week. He needs to learn to get up and ready and not waste time, and not hold us up, as he so often does. Made it to church only about 8 minutes late, not bad considering. Go worship (singing and praising) in the sanctuary, try to focus. The music is a little on the slow side this morning, which is nice, but I'm still trying to wake up! Wonder if Dave is thinking the same? Ok, time for the message. We begin Colossians. Good book. I'm always eager to dig into the next book of the Bible. I enjoy the message this morning (well, I usually always do); I'm now focused and listening intently (that last song was great and got my spirit burning for the Lord). The part about we (Christians) speak a different language was quite funny. Noobs feel like "a fish out of water" and it takes time to assimilate into this new culture, this new way of line of thinking and way of living. True that. Anyway, I enjoy our service and am feeling uplifted, slightly giddy and very happy when I leave. Though I admit, my hunger hits hard on the drive home. I feel like I haven't eaten in days and I'm getting a little fuzzy-headed. Need fuel need fuel. But I'm still riding on happy fumes. We're all discussing Crosswild, the retreat the kids are going on tomorrow, among other things. I'm in a cheery mood, a little dreamy with some tunes on real low and my brain, blood and bones needing sustenance, but doing good none the less! All of sudden I hear a siren! What?! I look at my dash and I'm going 60 mph in a 45 zone!! Oh my, I'm so frikkin mad at myself, and embarrassed. My younger son is in the backseat and mommy is being pulled over by a sheriff! There's no getting out of this one, I'm going way to fast and I know it! So I humble myself and decide not be the smarty butt that I can be. Oh, but I just can't resist pulling to the left, the opposite side of the road into the local church, instead of pulling off to the side of the road like any other person would have done. Nope, that's not the way I do these things! I gotta be different and add my typical melody humor into it. It bugs Dave, but he also loves that about me;) I'm me and I'm not going to conform to something I'm not. That's what he loves. Ha, the irony in that, going ACROSS the street and near the church! So....anyway...sheriff proceeds to ask for all the garbage they need to see: registration, DL, proof of insurance. I haven't put my new tag on (my bday in July, today is Aug 1), so I neglect to give him that...yet. He has my dl and my insurance, and since he doesn't have the registration he tells me I need a new tag as mine has expired. OH, here it is officer. (Wala!) It's going on today. Ahhh, darn, he can't get me on that. Now sheriff is on to my window tint. He pulls out a ridiculous looking gadget and takes some kind of tint reading and says my tint is too dark. Was I aware of that? Ok, how the heck would I know? I really wasn't and never gave it any thought. It was a gift from Dave....so I look over at Dave and let it rest on him. Officer goes to his car as they do, to look up all my info, to see if I'm some kind of escaped convict, a lunatic, a child molester, murderer, bank robber, whatever they do when they pull up our info. Comes back a few mins later with my whopping $256 ticket!! But he lets me off on the tint. Awwwwe, how kind of him, no tint ticket. $256 for a speeding ticket! Is that not highway robbery or what!? So now I'm bummed. $256 that I can't afford. On top of all the other bills mounting up! My happy, giddy feeling is gone. Now I'm depressed and worried. School tuition, homeowners is due, mtg, cc bills, etc etc etc. Need to get the kids new school clothes, have a trip to Destin planned, just the bill from our Atlanta trip, and the list goes on. How are we ever going to catch up?! It's just one thing after another. And I'm aware the speeding ticket was completely my fault. I shouldn't drive so fast. In South Fl I could talk my way out of a ticket, here the officers just look like complete idiotic morons as they stare at you. They don't budge, those good ol' boys. Go by the book, meet your quota, break a girl's bank acct. Whatev. I'll at least be able to take the online traffic school to wipe out the 4 pts that would have gone on my driving record and been added to my insurance. So that is a good thing.
"For a man needs only to be turned around once with his eyes shut in this
world to be lost... Not till we are lost...do we begin to find ourselves."
Thoreau, Walden
On this beautiful Friday morning, I'm enjoying java, poetry and facebook! Looking forward to the weekend, and more importantly, picking up my Dallas from camp this afternoon. Dang if I haven't missed that kid and all the sweetness he brings to my life! Gonna take him to Momo's for dinner, one of his favorite pizza places:)
And this morning I shall limit post to a couple poems.
First by Anne Sexton: NOT SO. NOT SO.
I cannot walk an inch without trying to walk to God.
I cannot move a finger without trying to touch God.
Perhaps it is this way:
He is in the graves of the horses.
He is in the swarm, the frenzy of the bees.
He is in the tailor mending my pantsuit.
He is in Boston, raised up by the skyscrapers.
He is in the bird, that shameless flyer.
He is in the potter who makes clay into a kiss.
Heaven replies:
Not so! Not so!
I say thus and thus and heaven smashes my words.
Is not God in the hiss of the river?
Not so! Not so!
Is not God in the ant heap, stepping, clutching, dying, being born?
Not so! Not so!
Where then?
I cannot move an inch.
Look to your heart that flutters in and out like a moth.
God is not indifferent to your need.
You have a thousand prayers but God has one.
HIDDEN
by Naomi Shihab Nye
If you tuck the name of a loved one
under your tongue too long
without speaking it
it becomes blood
sigh
the little sucked-in breath of air
hiding everywhere
beneath your words.
No one see....the fuel that feeds you.
world to be lost... Not till we are lost...do we begin to find ourselves."
Thoreau, Walden
On this beautiful Friday morning, I'm enjoying java, poetry and facebook! Looking forward to the weekend, and more importantly, picking up my Dallas from camp this afternoon. Dang if I haven't missed that kid and all the sweetness he brings to my life! Gonna take him to Momo's for dinner, one of his favorite pizza places:)
And this morning I shall limit post to a couple poems.
First by Anne Sexton: NOT SO. NOT SO.
I cannot walk an inch without trying to walk to God.
I cannot move a finger without trying to touch God.
Perhaps it is this way:
He is in the graves of the horses.
He is in the swarm, the frenzy of the bees.
He is in the tailor mending my pantsuit.
He is in Boston, raised up by the skyscrapers.
He is in the bird, that shameless flyer.
He is in the potter who makes clay into a kiss.
Heaven replies:
Not so! Not so!
I say thus and thus and heaven smashes my words.
Is not God in the hiss of the river?
Not so! Not so!
Is not God in the ant heap, stepping, clutching, dying, being born?
Not so! Not so!
Where then?
I cannot move an inch.
Look to your heart that flutters in and out like a moth.
God is not indifferent to your need.
You have a thousand prayers but God has one.
Love it will not betray you
Dismay or enslave you, it will set you free
Be more like the man you were made to be
There is a design, an alignment, a cry
Of my heart to see
The beauty of love as it was made to be.
So I went to a wine tasting with a friend. Most of the wines didn't taste so hot, some were decent, and one my palate really enjoyed. I bought it, and another white that was pleasing to my taste. Main thing was, it was nice to get out, talk briefly about life and stuff like that. Came home to a nice Thai red chicken curry meal made with love by my dear Dave. Listened to some Elliott Smith, Ryan Adams and acoustic Metric and read some unabridged journals of Sylvia Plath, while Dave tried to get our DVD working. I have seven movies patiently waiting to be watched, six from the local library and one from a friend (and even one from another "friend" that doesn't even count in this count. ;) ). This summer has been a good excuse to catch up on movies I've not yet seen...and one of my favs I have seen but felt the need to watch once again - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (the name of that movie is taken out of a poem by Alexander Pope. Many don't know that, or don't pick up on that in the movie, but yep. Long poem by him, I think he lived in the 1600s, or sometime way back).
Food Network is on mute while hubby is on hold with Comcast. I feel like I should be underneath something big and beautiful, holding tight and kissing fiercly. Wow! What can I say, just want to be honest on this blog that maybe one or two other people will even read. I can get away with saying stuff! I think I should read some Anne Sexton and duplicate something on here by Erica Jong. Yeah, my fear of flying ended eons ago. Now I'm just fearful of NOT flying, of not spreading my wings.
"And the truly insidious thing about fear is---it's completely self-perpetuated. We create the dread that clogs up our lives." ~ Douglas Kennedy
(I warned readers of my stream-of-consciousness style of writing)
"Watch out for intellect, because it knows so much it knows nothing and leaves you hanging upside down, mouthing knowledge as your heart falls out of your mouth. Watch out for love (unless it is true, and every part of you says yes including the toes), it will wrap you up like a mummy, and your scream won't be heard and non of your running will run.
"Love? Be it man. Be it woman. It must be a wave you want to glide in on, give your body to it, give your laugh to it, give, when the gravelly sand takes you, your tears to the land. To love another is something like prayer and can't be planned, you just fall into its arms because your belief undoes your disbelief."
Ok, everything is up and running. Movie about to begin........ :)
Priscilla Ahn - Dream (Official Video)
Dream - Priscilla Ahn
I was a little girl alone in my little world who dreamed of a little home for me.
I played pretend between the trees, and fed my houseguests bark and leaves, and laughed in my pretty bed of green.
I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest swing.
I had a dream.
Long walks in the dark through woods grown behind the park, I asked God who I'm supposed to be.
The stars smiled down on me, God answered in silent reverie. I said a prayer and fell asleep.
I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest tree.
I had a dream.
Now I'm old and feeling grey. I don't know what's left to say about this life I'm willing to leave.
I lived it full and I lived it well, there's many tales I've lived to tell. I'm ready now, I'm ready now, I'm ready now to fly from the highest wing.
I had a dream
It's Wednesday, hump day, as we Americans say. I'm on to day 2 of blogging, not really knowing what I'm doing, yet. There must be more to this other than merely writing. Like attaching links and pics and things like that. I need to learn all this, while also maintaining my house and daily to-do things. For now, I'll just write...but where to start on the writing part! Well, I haven't felt too domestic lately. I'm just very dreamy these days...wishing I could jump on a plane and go to Italy or France or somewhere fantastical. Probably all the down time I've had this summer. Getting lazy, drinking coffee all morning, eating breakfast at 10:00, staying in Pjs until, well, right now! Taking late night hot baths and then staying up till wee hours watching free movies I get at the library. Or on Hulu, also free:) The summer has been quite nice actually, I'm not complaining. But it does leave time for getting all whimsical and dreamy and...lazy! To contrast: A typical REGULAR day during the school year starts early with the kids getting ready for school and then getting them there on time! After school we are off to activities or appts, doing homework and the day just goes by like a freight train rushing down the tracks. But now, with my work gone (FL office closed, shut down and bye bye working woman), and the kids home there's been lots of time to dream and think and those little spirit wings begin to sprout again. It's the way I love to be, but I must be careful. Freedom also brings bondage. You'd have to be me to understand that in it's full sense. Anyway, moving on...The last couple days have been quiet because my younger son is at sleep away camp. It feels crazy, this sound of silence in our home. I do miss him, his beautiful eyes and the hugs we share. But back to my summer here, I've had time to contemplate some business ideas. Two actually. One I had been thinking about since losing my job. I was pretty determined to see if it would work, did the research and set out to find buildings, but financially, I just don't think I can make it happen right now. So, off to business idea #2. Yes, I think I can make this one work! Not too much of an upfront investment...mainly just the legwork to find the clients. Haha, I'm not telling what though, but I'm quite excited at the idea, which was sparked by something I saw in a movie:) Let's see what blossoms from my spunky ideas. Both businesses have to do with what I love. I can't wait to see what happens! Stay tuned......:)
Okay, I'm changing gears, being random, as I like to be. Here is a simple little quote from Elizabeth Gilbert, who, by the way, happens to have a brilliant thought process. Here it is: L'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle. It's Italian and translates, The love that moves the sun and other stars. Isn't that simply beautiful?! I would love to know if anyone has found that love. I know a couple that just married. They have it. And don't read that wrong, I have a great love. But...I'm talking about moving the sun and other stars. Ha! This is my quirky randomness here. I just started a blog so give me a break while I explore my thoughts. I write Virginia Woolf style anyway. You know, stream-of-consciousness. Well, if you've never heard of that or don't know what it is, look it up. I'm going to scoot along now and get my day going. Head out of the clouds and into the beautiful day!! Blessings to all you bloggers or whoever may be reading this. Love and light to you..
I Carry Your Heart
One of my fav poems by edward estlin cummings
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don’t really expect it. Its like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And its not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you , and once in a while people may even take your breath away. Just a quote from Meredith Grey to get this baby started!
“People have scars. In all sorts of unexpected places. Like secret roadmaps of their personal histories. Diagrams of all their old wounds. Most of our wounds heal, leaving nothing behind but a scar. But some of them don’t. Some wounds we carry with us everywhere and though the cut’s long gone, the pain still lingers.”
Well I'm new to this whole blogging thing, but I'm excited to start writing and sharing some of my favorite poets and poems and quotes and thoughts and....stuff! I'm just excited to start on a blog journey! Will learn as I go. Right now just creating the template and the look and learning the ins and outs of this. Here I go...........
Some days … the whole world seems upside down. And then somehow, and probably, and when you least expect it, the world rights itself again. MG
